2002 s500 problem

A few months ago, I dropped off my car at Helms Bros. Mercedes benz for some repair do to the fact that water got into the car and messed up a few electronic components. The following parts listed below were changed. The soft door close assist was working at the time but now its not working. Who would be responsible for this? I did service the car at that pointas the trasmission flush brake flush and a full detailed job both the exterior and interior of the car my bill was crazy

Thats a large bill.

Does the soft close not work on any door or just some?

You get water in the trunk?

Have you examined the fuse in the passenger side rear footwell?

Well pull the fuse and check to see if its blown. If not, plug it back in, and see if it still has the problem.

If that fixes the problem temporarily, its most likely due to a leak. Once the motor tries to pull a door closed, and can't it times out. Pulling the fuse resets the motor.

It should be a 20amp fuse, which is yellow.

Remove the footwell light on the passenger rear footwell, and you'll see the fuses. I couldn't tell you which it is off hand, but its at the end of a fuseblock color segment.
