Java Interior

Anyone have a Java interior? I am looking for opinions on a Black/Java combination.

What interior color do you have on your black S class?

Thanks all!

IMO the Java is very yellow, wish MB would develop a light brown leather inteior that is more the classic British Tan....I would definately order that if they were to do so.

I have 2001 S600 with Ash (light grey) interior and black exterior, like it very much....ordered new 2004 S600 with the new Stone interior with black exterior and Chesnut trim.

Ash or Stone looks great on black cars. I would avoid the yellowish one.

color

hey everyone,

i have desert silver with java and i really like the
combination.
i can see how some people would like the java
interior to be a shade lighter....ala lexus.
taurian, i wouldn't worry about the java at all.
the contrast you will have with the black exterior
will make the car look sharp.
S500.....good choice!

i love my desert/silver java combo, and i recently saw an 03 S55 with black/java and thought it looked great, but if you dont like it "too yellow" stone is a great choice. i think the stone is beautiful

Stone is ok, BUT it looks like it will fade and discolor very early in its lifetime because it is so light. You add the friction from moving around in the seat + the sun beaming down on the seating surfaces inside the car and your "stone" interior won't look so good. You can forget about wearing dark blue jeans in this car.

Black/Java is a classic combo and it makes the S look very elegant.

MercManiac - you can order the "british tan" color, it is part of the Designo option...$10,000!!!!!!

I saw a Java interior on a 2001 E class, and I thought it looked very yellow. I agree all, Black/Tan is a great combo, so...I will have to drive to all the dealers on Long Island today to find a S class with Black Java, as I have to finalize my order tonight.

You can't look at an interior for an E to represent what it would look like in an S because MB modifies its interior colors from model to model. An example of this can be found by looking at an SL500 charcoal interior and an S500 charcoal interior. The SL's charcoal is a grayish color, while the S has a dark black color. Same name, but totally diffferent.

In the S, the Java is more like a pastel orange/yellow mixture.

DONE DEAL

I just came back from my dealer. I saw the Java interior on the S Class. Holy Banana Yellow Batman! What a shame, they make you spend $10K to get the beautiful brown leather. I saw a 1999 Blue S class w/ brown (Palomino) interior, very nice.

So, I went for Black/Charcoal.

Which exterior color does this come with? Mine should (and better be) be here in April. Put the order in back in September (I think) and had a March build. MBM did confirm a couple weeks ago it was being built. My sales guy said he has had tons of salesmen see the order in the system and beg him to release the car to them when it arrives. I say, why don't they just order one for their clients, the clients don't want to wait that long.

If you are looking for a car on the lot, try Ray Catina (sp) in Jersey. He seems to have tons of cars all the time.

black/java is very nice, my dads is that color, but its very had to keep clean, the black outside requires washing every week, and waxing every 2 weeks. The java inside stays nice if u treat it well and dont bring food items into the car.

i think my arm would fall off if i waxed once a week, the car has so much surface area, last week i tried this spray wax(yea i know, im a sellout..) called meguires quik wax, it works pretty well, but i think i like the traditional way better even though it takes longer and more work.
