Cd Changer, Audio Upgrade, Exhaust tips to low
sorry for all the questions but hopefully someone can help
I have a 2001 s430, my cds skip every time i go over a bump, maybe the bolts have came loose from the mounting bracket?
I also want to upgrade the stereo system by adding a a Jl W3 with its own amp, does that mean i need to get a line converter? What do people do with the remote wire? Where are they wiring it too?
I would like to increase the volume of the speakers but i am guessing i just replace them they will sound the same due to the stock amp?
Does anyone of a DIY on the 2 din install? Or where i can get the woodgrain piece, i know on the other forums people used ******* but hes blocked all messages and ebay doesn't have any.
I will be uploading a few pictures of the car soon enough! I added a body kit, but now my exhaust tips are to low and don't line up with the bumper cutouts is there a way to raise the tips? i think a picture will help you guys get an idea
thanks in Advance
To replace any part of the system would mean replacing the whole system (minus the speakers of course). The car is wired fiber optically, and as a result, if you change out one component by itself you will lose the function of the whole system. I.E. theyre not interchangeable.
You will also lose function of the steering wheel controls. If you want a new head-unit, you'll need to replace the amp too. The stock speakers can stay. Honestly, they're not bad speakers and there's like 14 of them each specifically designed and tuned for the audio in you car.
Be prepared to throw out some dough and take it to an audio shop if you don't know anything about audio electronics.
As far as the exhaust tips go, your going to have to cut and weld if they don't line up. You could see about changing the hanger position but I doubt there's much room to play with. What body kit did you add and what exhaust tips do you have? This is probably another trip to a performance shop.
