does someone know where the dvd navi drive unit is??
I have w211 and my cousin has w220, and he is going to get a new car and let this one to his girlfirend who doesnt need a navi so I want to remove it and put in my trunk. I have all the cables and antenna.....

please please, maybe some pictures???

Without the model years of the cars you are discussing, we'd have to write a lot of unnecessary stuff to answer. Give us that, we can give you an answer.

It is 2001/2002 (not sure right now but the same model I believe) S430....the one without that comand with big screen.

the disk is right in the command unit in the console.

 

I am asking because I found the dvd drive on ebay with the info that it fits W211 and w220.....so I thought thaat it is the same and I know there is a navi in his car.....so there is no separate DVD drive in this model?? or it is just in the 04+ with COMAND?

the 01/02 do not have a DVD comand.

They have a CD based system.

04+ is DVD based, and that disk is in a drive in the trunk.
