ECU programming always seems to work very well with forced induction cars. I like to see if they can back up those claims on NA cars

But regardless, BAD *** CAR

treynor...

Have there been any changes in engine smoothness and exhaust sound quality after your upgrade? Also, have there been any drastic changes in fuel economy?

Nope, engine's exactly the same when I'm not hard on the throttle. Fuel economy is unchanged.

So what does that translate to for HP and TQ at the Flywheel??

Also, does this V12 still shut down a cylinder bank when you're just driving easy?

Driveline loss in the Benz automatic is (per RENNtech) 21%. Soooo...

522 RWHP / (1.00 - .21 ) = 661 BHP
656 RWTQ / (1.00 - .21 ) = 830 FT/LBS TQ

That's a lot of grunt

As an update - about one year later, 100 dragstrip passes, new best of 11.59 @ 120, and ZERO problems. MB certainly builds a solid car

Treynor, I was hoping to get some advice from you. What do you recommend I do in order to obtain the best time my car is able to accomplish? Do you use the tiptronic, or simply power brake? Warm up the tires like the (awesome) pic of yours? etc etc. Thanks and enjoy your rides!

Transmission in drive, "S" mode. ESP off. Ride height set to lowest setting. Short burnout by holding brake with left foot and then applying gas with right. Roll forward to staging line. Left foot on brake. Floor gas at 2nd yellow, release brake at 3rd yellow.

(wait 11.6 seconds)

apply brakes

Thumbs up

Thanks Treynor. I'll be sure to try that out. Matter a fact, maybe I'll head up to the service road and start practicing.
Take it easy.

Hey Treynor, I should tell you that I've sent that video to a couple of friends of mine. They too were very impressed, to say the least. Two questions, what have to done to it? Is it just RENNtech wheels, performance tires, and a RENNtech chip?

And second, have you recorded the time it would take for a passenger's head to hit the headrest? I'm guessing it's about 0.6 seconds. hehe.
