Check Engine Light?

I have the check engine light on.. I thinks its probably the air filter that I have to change because I haven't changed it in a while. I changed the oil/oil filter in June so that can't be it. Since it was time to change the air filter I was think about putting K&N filters. Heard they were really good. It is actually true they increase horsepower?

What do you guys think the light could mean besides maybee the air filter?

No, the OEM is much better quality. Isn't it MANN filters they make stuff for K&N

I could be wrong however I have never heard of a "check engine" coming on for rountine maintence. Might be something more serious that you should check before driving.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
It's not the

air filter.
And use oem style like from autohausaz.com
And get or borrow a code reader and read your code or codes and post them
Then someone can tell you the solution.
Harborfreight tools if you have one near you has good readers for 50 bucks.
Good idea to have one in any home shop.
most autozone stores read codes for free.
Just don't pay attention to what they tell you it means.Just copy down the code or codes and let the forum
tell you that.

wait a few days and see if it goes out. I've had mine come on twice in the last 3 months and after 3 days it goes away.

I've had for a while.. i was able to take it out for a good day after i took it to shop in fort lauderdale.. i do have a very very small oil leak from the right side(facing the engine) head.. but its very small .. just changed the oil as well.. i think it might be the air filters that i have yet to change that are feeding enough air(or clean air) to the engine.. i just do not know
