Any DIY for removing/replacing W220 front seat headrests?
I have a 2004 S55 with Dynamic Drive seats and power headrests. I'd like to remove the headrests and replace them with OEM headrests into which I am going to install LCDs (hopefully 9", but I'll have to see what fits).
I have a call into Potomac to see if I can source the parts there, but in case that falls through are there any other recommended parts suppliers? Avoiding the dealer is a must because they will (probably?) screw up the cost-to-pleasure ratio.
Thanks

I did a search on google and it turned bunch of results. I remember seeing cheaper alternatives but don't remember where

The ready-built OEM solutions are outrageously overpriced, just like tunes and most bolt-on MB performance parts. The good thing is that while I can't write a tune or weld a custom set of headers, I sure as ***** can cut up a couple spare headrests and make some perfect-match OEM LCDs.
Thanks for the suggestions and links, I really appreciate it.

many thanks to CurlyToons!
I tested this method this morning and confirmed that it does allow you to just pull the headrest out. You have to give it a good tug, because it has detents around the ends of the posts that click in and out. For installation, make sure you press hard enough to click them back into place.
many thanks to CurlyToons!
