So my s500 Was totaled by insurance company...

So my s500 Was totaled by insurance company...
Insurance company decided to total out my car, and is cutting me a check, should i try and buy it back salvage?how much do you think they will sell it back to me for?

Most insurance company I have dealt with in the past will sell it back to you, it should be significantly less than what they are going to give you. Give them a call and see.

the reason i asked is because insurance company gave me almost 16,000 for my 2000 s500, so maybe i could buy it back for 1600$??

i have seen people buy back the salvaged car for $500 but it wasnt a benz.

if it still runs, anything below 2k you should buy it back and sell it on ebay

Any car with a salvaged title has the kiss of death on it, forget about reselling it. But if you think you can buy it cheap, fix it and just drive it till it dies then go for it.

For the money you got, getting a newer, lower mileage S Class is the way to go.

I think you misunderstood, no one is talking about fixing the slvaged car.

the idea is to buy the wrecked salvage car from the insurer and immediately resell it. it is very easy to sell salvage title mercedes, unrepaired, for much more that the insurer sells it to you. Ive done it before. If OP wants I can even do it for them.

lol i took out the double din, and the grill, and the amp, i have 4 04 s55 amg wheels for sale will let them go for 450$ for all 4 lol

Really? What condition are they in? I was thinking of getting my AMG wheels re-finished but if yours are in v. good condition I'll consider this...I'm guessing refinishing and removing (inherited ) curb rash would be around $1000+ for 4 wheels...

I take it they're the same style as this? My '04 has the AMG appearance package so they should be the same...
