How Far in Limp mode - V12tt

I'm 3 hours away and in limp mode due to misfire (I think the ignition transformer). Can I drive as long as I watch the rpms?

It's a tough call.
If it is my car, I probably try it carefully.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
You will be

limited to second gear and mph so it will be tough to get out of anyones way.
check engine light on?
harborfreight tools has obd2 scanners for 50-60 bucks.
read the codes and post them if you have them.
If it is truly misfiring and you feel it and you have a cel don't push the issue and drive it.Better to use another car or rent one for the day and find
what is wrong before possibly toasting a cat hurting the transmission if it is a trans issue or having some idiot rearend you as you are going slowly down the road. Not worth the chance V12 is a terrible thing to waste

Thanks guys - it started out of limp mode and I made it back. I don't think it was in limp mode actually. I think it was just no left bank. The codes were p0300 and p03070-p0312.

The reason I don't think it was limp was when I took off the battery cable and reset - it would start without anything on the left bank even before the check engine light came on (it came on about 10 sec later). I scanned it during this first period and no codes but the car was still running only on the right bank.

I'm thinking it might be the voltage transformer (000 150 01 58). I saw another thread with similar symptoms. I've got a thread in technical on this trying to find a solution but if anyone here has a thought I'd love to hear it.

I just check the coil pack and no sign of arcing and it's the newer pack
