Need help with wheels fitment
Hi all,
Please sit pretty and advise me. I have a 2002 s600 with sport amg kit, which has staggered 18' wheels ( 8.5 / 9.5 ).
Unknowledged me, recently bought bigger wheels with these measurements 19 x 8.5 et 30 and 19 x 9.5 et 35. Still in order, also tires with these measurement, 245/45/19 and 275/40/19.
Now, if your knowledgable will advise me. Will I have problems with this fitment? For example rubbing on front/ rear or when i hit bump or traveling on higher speed, etc.
If this is a problem I can exchange, so please let me know.
Thanks

245/45/18
and 275/40/18 are the oem sport or amg tires
Going to 19 inch rims is plus 1 so that means the tire profile needs to drop to 40 front and 35 rear ie 245/40/19 and 275/35/19
however stock offsets are 44front and 46 rear
so you are pushing them out about 14mm front and 11mm rear or approx 1/2 inch since they are stock tire width and stock width rims you will have no problems as long as you get the proper profile tires noted above
that way the tires match the stock tire diameter so your speedometer stays accurate and you have no abs or cruise control issues
You do understand the compromise you are going to make on ride harshness and road control? big rims mean big problems over pot holes and poor roads

Hello Ohlord,
If I want to go to 18" wheels on my car, what tire size do you recommend? I would like the beefier look without staggering.
I think I have the 225 60 16 and keep them as a winter set and use the 18's in the summer.
Thanks in advance!
