2003 S600 Coil Packs

2003 Mercedes S600
S600 Coil Pack Failure at 160,000 kms
My S600 has approximately 160,000 km on the clock and I have just had the right side Coil Pack fail. Expensive repair with coil pack being approx NZD $3500 ex Singapore.
I assume the left side will follow in due course and likely soon.
Started with an almost inperceptible but constant slight hesitation on float to light throttle between about 1200 - 2000 rpm. Higher rpm and the hesitation could not be felt, also with more throttle the issue was disguised.
Mechanics couldn't detect the fault on computers or by driving it.
I started getting paranoid, thinking I might be the "Princess sleeping on the pea".
But you need to be in tune with the car and know how smooth a v12 should be to know somethings is wrong.
When the coil pack failed however the car shuddered violently and lost significant power. Wouldn't comfortably run at above 80km/h.
