Rear high beams?

Hey guys i have a question. I just figured out how to turn on fog lights on my s500 and they work fine. Yeah i know i only had the car 2 months and just found this out. When i pulled the light knob again the bottom tail lights lit up on the driver side. The manual sez rear high beams?? Never heard that before. Here is question what is it for and are both tail lights suppose to light up. Only one lit up pn mine. Thanks guys.

They're called rear fog lights. Mercedes has them only on the driver's side, not both sides.

Ugh I really hate them sometimes. There's people who don't know how to turn on headlights and so they pull the switch all the way after turning them on manually...Blinds the hell out of you on clear nights.

don't turn them on unless there is a legitimate reason. They are unpleasant for other drivers.

They are like brake lights being on the whole time...that's only from one light. Two lights would be as bright as direct sunlight!

Wow! I did not know that. I wont do it don 't want to hurt anyone. Kool 1 more question. How do you know if you got xeno or Hid lights . I think i got Hid because it is a blue color and it is bright. The manual sez bulb replacement is xenon but i think it is different. My friends think so also. If they are can i make the daytime running lights and fog lights same color Hid.thanks guys

all 500 600 55 or 65 cars have xenon stock, 430s are optional, to match the fogs you would need an error free hid kit and the bulb is an H7
