Opening Windows With your FOB..

Is it correct that our cars have the feature to open windows and sunroof by holding down the unlock button on the FOB while pointing at the driver's side door handle?
If so, how can I reset/resync it? I cannot get this feature to work.

At least with my 04 E500, the fob needs to be in relatively close proximity (within a few feet), unlike a Maxima that I owned where you could perform the same feature from 30-ft. I think it's referenced in the manual as the Summertime feature.

not sure if it may have changed on later models, but I have to aim my key at the IR receivers on my front door handles. If that hasn't worked for you, your receivers could be bad.

I have been aiming right at the little square receivers on the door handles from all distances....but sounds like you may be right in that the receivers could have crapped out.
Thanks.

I use the feature on my s500 it works when it wants to. You have to be atleast2-3 ft from receive to operate. To sync windows turn car on and put key to on position. Them press the down button on driver side door holding it down till it stops and wait 5 secs you will hear a click then do same on way up position wait for click then release. Thats it for sun roof push switch back to open sun roof hold it back for 10 sec then clise it ush seitch forward hold 10 secs and thats it. It worked for me. Just that it has a mind of it own when u want it to work it does not but just mess with it it works fine. Good luck let me know how it goes.

Yes a 05 S600 will have it. Hell my 05 C240 even has it. Sounds like the receivers went bad or you could try replacing the fob batteries. You can pick them up at Radio Shack or a CVS.

I believe it's all or nothing.
I've never heard of a procedure to open only select windows/sunroof.....
