After replacing the solenoid valve I’m still goetting the stupid p0410 code.

I think I just want to code all that **** out. idgaf. Is there a procedure someone has come up with to do that? are there side effects?

Yes, you can go into developer mode on DAS and tell the emissions system to ignore the Secondary Air Injection system and codes. Np problem passing emissions inspections, no CHECK ENGINE light, etc.

I can't guarantee that this is absolutely correct, but it should help get you close, anyway.

Start XENTRY, enter your VIN, start DAS.
Go to CONTROL UNITS
Go to DRIVE
Go to MESFI
Go to DEVELOPMENT DATA
Go to CONTROL UNIT ADAPTATIONS
Go to CONTROL UNIT ADAPTATIONS (VARIANT CODING)
Go to IMPLIZITE KODIERUNG SECONDARY AIR INJECTION
Scroll down to 0178
Change DIAGNOSE EIN to DIAGNOSE AUS

You may need to save...

Let us know how this works out.

Thanks for this!

I’ll give it a shot once I get the chance. I ordered a secondary air relay that apparently causes issues on these. If that doesn’t kill the CEL, I’ll ignore the entire secondary air system, although I’m a little bit hesitant, b/c I don’t want to fry my cats.

There should be no danger of affecting the cats. The Secondary Air Injection System functions only a fraction of the run time, and is not required for the car to meet emission standards - it just makes the car "ultra-low emissions". If you tell the computer to not bother checking the system, it will no longer give you a CEL / MIL / CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, so you can pass the standard emissions tests.

I think my P0410 code is related to my vacuum brake booster. It kicks in in idle if i keep my foot on the brake for a while.
