S-Class DESIGHNO EDITION

I am lookin to get another Benz and saw the Desighno Edition S class which I really like. Are they hard to find and did they make alot of them? What years other than 2000 did they make them? Did they make them in any other model like E class or C class? Thanks for the help.

um... as far as ive known, theyve made them for pretty much every recent year S-class, and shouldnt be any harder to get than a normal S-class wait... plus they do do them on most other benz models.... just go to the www.mbusa.com website, and build the car u want

Still available but the reason you don't see many is because few want to pay MB to build a butt ugly car.

Yea those are on e bay all the time, they seem to be 10 to 15K less than any other S class.

My opinion (which does not mean jack) is that interior looks like ***. I also feel that everyone else thinks that as well..

I think what makes them "hard to find" is the $10,700 you have to pay extra to get Designo paint and a different leather interior. Not too many buyers want to pay that price for such little difference. Some people like the Designo colors, but I wouldn't pay $10k extra for that.

It's a good deal if you buy it used, since you are also forced to buy some additional options with the Designo package, like the climate control front seats and the rear heated seats. This still applies to the 03' Designo packages, but I think the combination is nicer now compare to the 2000 versions (Silver and Expresso edition)

I would take the $10,000 and buy a set of wheels... or ad that to the S500 sticker and see how close that gets me to a S55....

I have looked at ebay regularly and I have seen maybe 1 or 2 designo benzes there. and they ARE NOT cheaper, certainly not by 10-15 thousand either.

the designo interiors are fine. their value is also based on subjective opinion. frankly everyone has their own taste and sense of style and you can change the interior yourself certainly if you can afford a designo or any s class. being in posession of serveral current mb brochures I have to say that some designos look a lot better than others. I also think that the color reproduction on the s class brochure is inaccurate. again the choice is the owner's. if you dont like some elements or all elements of it then just change it. or dont buy it. I LOVE the chestnut wood on the standard interiors [optional] while lots of people hate it. oh well. the birdseye maple on the ls430 is much more tasteful.
