Rear cig lighters are dead

Both fuses are OK.
I'm not getting voltage on either of the cigarette lighter outputs in the rear doors... I tried the continuity tester on my multimeter, one pin on the positive terminal on the cig.lighter and the other on the fuse, but no beep. I forgot to check for voltage at the fuse though...

Any ideas? I was planning on hooking up a dvd player for my kid, now I have to run the power from the front cig output instead until I can get this fixed.

If anyone knows of a 12V ignition switched source under the seat or in the seat I could use that would be good also...

I got that when I was trying to run pair of DVD / screens in the back for the kids.

Turn off the rear window disable from the driver's door panel.

Thanks. But it is off, and both rear windows move up and down, rear seat heather also turns on. But I'll try turning it on and off a couple of times, see if it does anything

Perhaps a silly question, but have you actually tried the lighter, rather than an accessory? Having computer-operated car sometimes causes surprises.

Hi, yes I have, it'll get stuck in there and without any heat it doesn't pop out so it ends up with me prying it up carefully with a knife

1) Test for battery voltage (ignition switch on) from the fuse contacts to a good chassis or engine earth. You test from each of the tiny contacts on the outer end of the installed fuse - should be voltage on both contacts. No voltage on either means that the supply is faulty or turned off; voltage on only one means that the fuse is bad; voltage on both indicates that you have power that far. Remember that the problem may be between the fuse and its connectors.
2) If you have voltage at both fuse terminals, check for voltage between the center terminal of the lighter and a good body earth - not from center to the lighter shell at this time. No voltage means that you are losing the voltage somewhere between the fuse and the center connector of the lighter, either because of a faulty connection, a broken wire, or it is turned off. Don't forget that the fuse connector is part of this string.
3) If you have voltage between the center terminal and a body earth, then test for voltage between the center terminal and the side shell of the lighter. No voltage now means that the lighter body is not earthed.

If the child door lock is on the lighter sockets are disabled. You may want to check that if you have not.
