Congrats

I really love the look of the new Range Rover we are on the cusp of buying one but are still getting HORRID reports about reliability on this car, please keep us MBWorlders in the loop about how nicely this new truck is turning out to be

MB G500
Ugh, I hate you This is the car that I want in addition to the G500. I was deciding between both of them, but I liked the G500 just a little more. I probably would have gotten the Range Rover, but at my college, there are at least 10 Range Rovers, so I wanted something different.

Congrats on the new car. Please keep us posted on reliability issues, as I am trying to convince my mom to buy one.

Did you drive the G-Wag also? I've never sat inside a Range so could you tell us if the ride is worse or better and like a comparsion of the two? I'm extremely interested and we're looking to buy an SUV real soon!

2004 S 600
Drove them all. Was at off road manufacturers invite in North Georgia montains....took out and drove off road (on some incredible schtuff that I never knew a 4x4 could handle.....I'm a novice on this off road stuff) and on road....tested....G500, H2, regular Hummer, Porsche (both SUV's...turbo and non turbo), volkswagen Toureg, LX 470, Jeep Cherokee, ML 500, X5 4.4 and the Range Rover.

BTW, at event, both Porches broke down.

Again, I'm no SUV expert....but I do know how to drive and I use to race in the IMSA circuit.......and IMO the Range Rover was by far the best in both realms.

Amazing what happened when BMW was selling Land Rover to Ford and in between the Range Rover was allowed to be produced as car enthusiasts wanted it to go to production as..... "before corporate politics, naysayers, acountants and other personal and corporate agendas could **** it up....or at least water it down". Wanted to buy this 2004 since there was a model year of real world testing and it was still all BMW electrical and drivetrain.....IMO, get one before Ford starts putting their parts in it!!

I was about to ask about the Porsche! Saddening to know my first choice breaks down, doesn't bode well even more-so that I'm a Lexus fanboy.

OK, put 1200 miles on and not a single problem. The body integrity is astounding....no squeaks creaks or rattles of any kind.....center line stability is awesome.....drives better than my S600 at 90mph on the highway......beats me

A160 CLASSIC (The Tardis), VW Passat Diesel
yes BMW did an awesome job on the makeover before Ford took over... Basically a pumped up X5 with real off road ability.

What are resale values forecast to be like..??
