not bad. First five min or so you call it a dif-free-ential which is amusing, but you correct later on.
the only technical element which I would change is that it is generally recommended to loosen the fill plug first. That way, you don't remove the drain plug and fluid and have no way of getting new fluid in.

Do you know if there is a way to open it so I can clean it on the inside or should I just change the fluid?
I see you use the 75W90 on your S500. I'm driving a 2001 S500 and my user manual tells me to use the 85W90. Is there a special reason why you use the 75W90?

Hi Chris, There is a way to open the diff, however, it depends on how far you want to go in terms of cleaning the gears and disk. Changing the fluid frequently will be just fine. As for as using 75w90, it's not a problem. The main reason I use it is because it's readily available and the dealer said it was ok. It's more important that you're using a GL5 gear oil. Thank you for your answer. The reason why I want to open it completely is that I just bought the car and I have now clue how the pre-owner treated that car. I'll just change it for now and check the internals with a scope-camera.
