NO CD CHANGER!
My CD changer seemed to be working perfect for the last 7-8 months.
Suddenly I have had a message saying NO CD Changer.
However the CD Changer ejects. Very rarely it does work.
This has left me listening to the radio! LOL!
Any advise to sort this.
Clean Audio Head came up once. Is this anything to do with it.
My audio system is the pre-facelift one.

They fail on an internal copper ribbon cable that can be bought on ebay. That CD message may go away and start working again. Try unplugging it and reconnecting it. If you replace the CD changer, consider buying this http://www.mercedes-player.com/Mercedes-Player-MP40/en

Jnash ,that MP40 you linked is very cool, I was reading the info and I think it can be looped in addition to the CDC with proper hook ups, is this correct? Which wiring kit from the link will I need to just replace the CDC? And what about if I want to add the MP40 and keep my CDC which one? Thanks for any help, I am new to this and still trying to understand the terminology of FO ring. Any Help greatly appreciated!

I was unaware you could also add it and keep the cd changer. That's going to be interesting when you configure the ring components in Star diagnostics with two CDCs.
If you are new to FO then you need to read up on it. There is plenty of info online about it. You need to know if you have the newer MOST star or older D2B network topology installed as that will determine the FO hookup arrangement. It's not going to be plug and play if you keep the CDC as well. The MP40 is plug and play if you remove the changer and use the MP40 in it's place and require no addition cables kits.
