Here's my new 2005 S600!! :)
This car is insanely fast and luxurious and I think I got a great deal!
Details, bought from dealer:
Year: 2005, 2 previous owners, Souther California Car
Price: $17,900
50,400 miles
Black on Black
Keyless, Dynamic, Power Trunk, Rear Power Shade
New tires (but rears don't match the front, the car rides great though)
CNA warranty (exclusionary): up to 125k miles or 6 years! -- $2950 extra ($300 deductible, transferrable too).
Also, do most exclusionary policies include "coil packs"? I'm not even sure what a coil pack is...would it be considered part of the spark plugs and therefore a wear and tear item?
My next service at 60k is a service B, I hear that will run about $450 bucks at a dealer (similar to my old SL55). Are there other things that will need to be done at that point (sbc flush, brake flush?).
Out the door it was $22k with warranty/taxes/reg. Not bad when compared to something like a used v6 accord!!! This will be my second car.
Pics are below!

That 6 year 75k mike exclusionary warranty is the best part of the deal if it does not exclude the abc struts ?
Can you scan or type in all the exclusions ? If it doesn't specifically exclude coil packs then they are included under an exclusionary warranty .
Also can you post the dealer name ? Perhaps they would like to sell more warranties to mb world members !

Abc struts are not shock absorbers , and coil packs are not spark plugs . They should be covered If those exclusions you listed are truly the only items excluded that's a very good warranty and warranty price for a s600!!

Also - just my opinion but please take those chrome wheel arches off ! Those are cheesy aftermarket items and Water and dirt get trapped underneath them causing rust (plus they look cheap ) . The chrome headlight rings should go too , but they don't look as bad or cause rust problems so you can leave them if you like them

Congrats.
It's a GREAT car, as long as you have the warranty.
Even though I often "itch" to get another car, whenever I back into my S600, I realize that other cars just don't compare - either the interior or the 500+hp/600ft lb torque.
Btw, although you don't have the Sports packages, perhaps you can try to find some AMG wheels and upgrade - it'll look much nicer. Lastly, +1 on getting rid of the chrome.
Congrats again.

Agreed, I just need to find out how the chrome arches are attached (clip-on or were holes drilled? and if holes were drilled how I would go about refinishing). I'm going to have a buddy who knows cars help with that part, but I'm willing to live with the chrome considering the deal I got.

It looks like you have an '05 S600 too? Did you upgrade to bluetooth/how did you do it? Do you know if all 05 s600's in the USA came with the integrated phone so then it's just a simple puck purchase? also, did you get a tune?

I would ask the warranty company specifically if the ABC Struts are covered. They may consider them as shock absorbers which they are not. Replacing them would be on of your most expensive repairs.

Looks like a very good deal! The wheels are not standard S600 ones, they look a bit like some that were options on European vehicles that you don't often see on the US cars.
