hi guys I have a chance of getting an 04 pretty base from what I can tell s500 with only 11k miles!! Yes 11k miles,
The questions I have is with all the air suspension issues ive read about is it something I should be worried about? Even though the mileage is low I am concerned that the age could be an issue. Also what else should I look for amd what is a good price? They are talking about 20 grand out the door? I think it is high. Book value even witg low miles is 12k so id like some input from you guys thanks

If its airmatic, don't worry about it. it can be fixed and fixed cheaply
If its ABC. be ready to pay $5000 at any moment in life for worse case scenario

Twenty grand is way too much for that car even with the low mileage. I would max out at maybe 15k only because of the low mileage.
Ok, I missed the part about being 20k. There is no way in ~~~~ I would pay that. They are out there mind. Mileage is not the problem with these cars, age is. 15k tops as I agree with ib.
Ok thanks, 20 grand is out the door so before taxes and tag and dealer fees so its like 18+++, are you saying 15+++ or 15 taxes and all?

At 15k the dealer is still making money on the car. Don't forget the car is 10 years, almost 11 years old. I don't know what the tax rate is in your state but here in NC it is a flat 3% on used cars. However, we do pay a personal property tax each year as long as we own the car.
Look at it this way. If you owned that car and went to a dealer to trade it in or tried to sell it privately the most you would probably get is about 12k and that's if it has a lot of options.

They wont budge but I did find a couple 2003's with milagein the 60's what should I be concerned about on these? Sorry for the questions but never had the benz and the some of the stories I read on here can make one a bit nervous
get a airmatic and spend the money saved on a good warranty that covers it. If your a good DIY the car isn't bad to figure out and get fixed. you have have no clue how the systems work or not a do it yourself, get a warranty with the money saved.
