Oops, i did not know about that. I saw Mercedes part number so i guessed it would be ok. I hope their guarantee is ok. I bought the rear ones second hand. They are on their way as well.

RIK881, Now you get to be our Guiney Pig. Let us know how they work out for you both with the install and any ongoing problems with them. Or you can try and send them back telling them they did not fit, or you got rid of the car, etc.

While waiting for the shocks to arrive i'm trying to fix the dash buttons. Shocks will arrive next week so i hope i can fix them in the mean time.
I got out the strip covering the buttons and the radio also came out. I see three plugs but there are only 2 cables connected to the dash buttons. I can not find a third connector.
I saw that somebody has stripped the wires from both connectors to check for power i guess. I then found fuse number 80 for the hazard light and it seems ok. Fuse list says electronic fuse is also for hazard. I don't understand this electronic fuse this. Does a electronic fuse break or does it reset itself? I also don't think there is something wrong with my sams there is no water and everything else seems to work fine. Airmatic not included. Who can help me get these buttons working again?

Buttons are working no idea what i did but they are working now
Car does not want to start though. I guess my battery is to weak. Seems strange because the starter doesn't even click. I'll keep you guys posted!

That's exactly what i tried, all i did change was that i changed fuse 80 for a working one. Can it have something to do with the car having no battery for about a week?

The battery may be too weak now to start the car

Try a brand new one

Fan turns at full speed when key goes to second click. If i try to start with the start button it does the same thing. Both the card's remote and the key remote work fine. Shifter is not stuck.
Can i try to jump the starter? I can hear the fuel pump working.

One of the basic principles of troubleshooting is to divide the systems in half where possible.

This is a bit of trouble, but probably worth trying...
Get access to the starter and look at the electrical connections - there will be one very large one and at least one small one. Make certain that there is full battery power on the large connection. Then check for battery power on the small connectors when a helper tries to start the engine.

While you are trying to start the engine, if there is power on one of the small connectors, the starter might well be faulty. If there is no power on the small connector, the problem is in the electrical or computer systems.

I did not manage to get under the car with my broken air suspension. I have noticed that the airmatic car too low warning has disappeared and the starter relay does not click at all. ESP message comes up as well. I even saw BAS and ABS once but they did not come back anymore.

Because one pic says more then a 1000 words:

This is what i'm working on before i started working on it! The non start condition is due to water in ECU it seems.

I noticed car too low message does not come up anymore, is that because the compressor is not connected? I drove the car a little with no compressor so no start does not have anything to do with compressor not being in place i guess?

Compressor has been repaired with Wabco kit. If i could just get the thing cranking. I scanned and found that esp has y10 solenoid code and canbus connection error.

I suspect that I am not the only one confused at this stage. Start - no start - driving the car - no crank...

Perhaps taking the time to give us a detailed description of what you consider to be the main problem, in detail, describing exactly what the car does/does not do would help us help you. Give us all of the facts relating to that problem...

Ok let me try again. When i bought the car it did crank but it did not start. Fuel pump was broken. I then switched the fuel pump for a new one and the car started fine. Then i ordered 3 air struts and took away the compressor. I took away the compressor to change the seals. Car was under a roof. Since i had to wait for the parts to arrive i then put the car up front but i forgot to put back the 2 cover for the front sams. So water got in both of them. The dashboard buttons were never working. I took out the radio and the dash button to see if i could find a loose plug or something. To my suprise i saw that someone had cutted all the cables to the dash buttons and taped them back together. I then checked all cables. Next thing i did was change the fuse, hazard fuse was burned. Now the buttons are working fine. I then tried to start the car but the starter doe snot turn over. I hear relays clicking and the fan comes on at full speed but the starter does not crank. From what i had read i thought it had something to do with the ECU. So i took out the ecu which had water in it, put another one in with same part number but the fan keeps spinning and the starter does not crank. ESP message comes up and car too low message does not come up anymore. Or does car too low only appear when the engine is running? I hope i made it easier to understand what's going on.

"...forgot to put back the 2 cover for the front sams. So water got in both of them."

Have you done anything to fix this?

"So i took out the ecu which had water in it, put another one in with same part number..."

Isn't the ECU one of the theft-prevention parts that must be matched to the EIS, key, etc.?

I have not done anything but clean the ecu and check fuses. I might take out the sams to see if they are damaged.

Rechecked all fuses and all are good. I did not recheck the relays i remember now.
I then got under the car to check for the starter and i can't feel any click, nothing. So i guess no power and no need to take out starter. Taking out the starter seems pretty difficult by the way. Does that mean ECU is faulty?

So i then took out right front sam, the one next to the ecu. There are a few marks of water inside no rust though. I will order a new sam anyway. Sam is plug and play i have read. Can someone confirm this because i had also read that ecu was plug and play. I think i will wait for the sam to arrive and if that does not fix it i'll send the ecu to Miami for repairs.
