As you would expect its clean, nothing obviously broken. No navi cds
FOB wont unlock rear doors. I have to get in and unlock them with the dash button. Anyone else encountered this?

Very low, right. Took 18 months of patience. Delivered with tt&l paid for 11.7k. I bought my wife an '05 clk320 which she loves with 38k miles

Have you made sure that the FOB has fresh batteries? Assuming the batteries are OK it seems a bit strange that both back doors don't unlock. How old is the battery in the car, and was it just sitting for a while or being driven?

Thx guys. You fellas are mb masters. I have always been pretty handy at fix it jobs but y ' all make the troubleshooting easier. I have a point to start at and will let you know. S430 came off Autotrader with a 200 mile search. Dealers will deliver up to 300 or so miles. Found the clk on a dealers inventory that was 250 miles away. Again delivered. Overlooked a lot of mouth watering sporty beasts to get these cherries
I have never investigated - will the child locks on the rear prevent unlocking?

Wally, I think you might be right. Could be worth a try.
996T I would change the oil and filter unless you have a record of the last time it was changed. Mobil 1 OW-40. If it runs a bit sluggish just drop a bottle of the Chevron Techron (in the black bottle) into the gas tank Do it when the tank is low and pour it in before you pump the gas.

Auto was serviced at MB of Baton Rouge. I thought to try the child safety lock button on the door. I will do a few checks. I believe there is more than one way to program the FOB. Will check into that, as well. Almost sure it is something simple. Auto came with one FOB

After using the techron take it on a nice spirited drive. Sometimes it takes a couple of bottles to get those injectors clean.
