2000 S500 spark plug, coil, wires change
I have the parts that I need to do this, but I did not order the special MB spark plug wrench, which is supposed to be very helpful.
If I tackle this project today and cannot get the back ones done without this wrench, is it ok to just replace some of the coils, respective plugs and wires and drive the car until I receive the wrench to do the back ones?

The only thing the special wrench does is make it a lot easier to remove and replace the wires from the spark plugs. Put a dab of dielectric grease inside the wire where it connects to the plug to make them slip on and off easier. When replacing the wires just push them until you hear a click.
Don't put the grease on the plug threads. You can buy a little tube in Advance Auto for about two bucks.

I did buy the special wrench but check out
I also simply used a standard spark plug socket and extension as shown in the video. Very important though is to have the spark plug wrench grip the spark plugs tightly as you will need to fish the old spark plugs out and then the new ones down into the head. Do the easy ones first to get the hang of it.
Anyway, fairly easy job just time consuming due to 16 plug swaps. ( I just did plugs on my newly acquired R230 SL500).
