Chrome headlight rings

I realize that there is a slight gap around the headlights of the S-class, but I've always thought chrome headlight rings were the dumbest mod available for the S-class. What do others think?

I think and know for a fact the chrome rings complement the chrome accents on my silver s500. it also goes well with my wheels being that they, too are chrome.

I can respect your opinions. I actually hate the chrome taillight rings but love the headlight rings. Heh. Go figure. I just think that if you take two front-view pictures of a silver s class with and without the chrome headlight rings, the one with looks more appealing. it brings out the look of the grill. my $0.02 ...

I saw a 03 S with headlamp rings just a little bit ago, and the headlamp rings look better on the new updated headlamps than the older ones, it was also a black car. But Armani, I really like your car!!!

It really depends on the car and color and such. On Silver, you can have a lot of things and the it goes over real positive. However if I did it to my aunt's black W220, I don't think it'd be all that hot because she also has the stock MY2002 rims too!

oh I understand. I honestly like just getting my car off the lot so I can take it home within a couple days, I would die waiting for my S500 when I get one. Luckily the dealer by me always seems to have one with all the options I like, or they find one. My favorite feature is Electronice trunk closer, which I wont want to have a S Class without it. Knauz seems to make sure all their S Classes have them.

It looks cheap and tacky ie ghetto imo. It just ruins the look, its supposed to be a prestige car, classy looks. Chrome headlight rims is the equivilent to someone ricing up their Civic. Nasty.

If you want to make the headlights standout, get some 2003 ones on there

IMHO chrome headlight rings are too 80's disco/retro. I'm trying to minimize the made in China product on mine. Was hoping to replace the chrome exhaust with Ericktu's Lorinser but he sold to the highest bidder

Quite disagree here...

IMO it really depends on body color.
In silver/white bodies headlamp rings look terrific...
The only thing is that there are at least another manufacturer who makes headlight rings for W220 - and those are look ugly (too wide).
The original MB looks very cool.

ArMani. I just took a look at your picture and your S is very
Didn't mean you single you out but I clicked on your link and your ride is very clean, and along with others I see on their sigs. I was thinking of getting the chrome tips, just like yours. Can you tell me the $ and where did you get them? I was also thinking of getting the illuminated door sills and the chrome door inserts from ebay. Are ebay links permitted? If so, I can attach if anyone would be interested. I think the seller is "chrome best." Any opinions on this seller?

DMI+RY: I see you have the better seat package. Are they comfortable seats? For me, the seats are hard, not plush like the CLs that I sat on. Anybody have this problem?

For the headlight chrome trims, saw them and think they're ok.
