2002 w220 s500
I have a 2002 s500 w220...engine check light is on esp defective display on and speedometer needle not working but all the other gauges work and abs light on and airmatic visit workshop on..and transmission wont shift out of first gear

You might try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if any of the error messages disappear. If not, the best thing to do is probably try to find a dependable shop near you that has the Mercedes STAR/DAS system and have them pull and write down all of the error codes. There will usually be a charge for doing this.
You might have a wheel speed sensor that is dirty or faulty, or has a faulty connection.
Open the right SAM (under the hood, below the right corner of the windshield) and check each of the wire harnesses for any traces of ATF (oil on the wires). If you find an oily harness, one of your problems might be that ATF has wicked up the harness from the leaking adapter plug, and has filled your Transmission Control Module. This can eventually cause the transmission to malfunction. You can sometimes cure the problem by pulling the small black box attached to the oily harness from the SAM, opening it and cleaning it thoroughly with brake cleaner.

Ok.thnx..i disconnect the battery a couple of times before but no avail..my car was acting up two weeks before this happen..car was shifting hard and check engine lightcame on ..i disconnect battery and check engine went off and car shifted so smoothly and the over night this happens

Battery is almost a year old, but i notice that my four way flasher button no working,my up and down lift button not working and my esp button not working and my door lock and unlock button not working on dash board

Oil in harness won't cause your issue. Check esp for faults that's why the speedo does not work. No road speed from esp will cause gearbox to run in limp mode. Check fuses for esp too
