Yellow speed coilovers are the best solution since they are adjustable

Another option is strut-masters but they are not adjustable
However are you sure you have abc and not airmatic ? Most s500 have airmatic not abc. There are different conversion kits for airmatic cars. Abc is a hydraulic suspension . Does the button on the top center of your dash say abc?

I have said it on here before that if my ABC system decides to fall apart it will certainly be converted to coil overs. It just wouldn't make sense to spend thousands of dollars on a 13 year old car (just my opinion).
Most likely I would go with the Strutmasters simply because their factory is just a little over 1/2 hour from my home and they would do the conversion in their shop. Just out of curiosity I was quoted a price of about $1600 which included parts and labor plus the ABC module delete. The gentleman I spoke with said because of their experience it would probably be a four hour job. I could recoup a significant amount of the cost just from selling the old parts.

Yes I agree I'm a jeep technician so I get to bring my car in the shop as much as I want and I do not see my self dumping all that money into a problematic very expensive system

I would recommend keeping it.
The ABC suspension is what makes the car’s ride a mercedes.
The only reason it’s “scary” to work on is because mechanics don’t have experience with it, but check the online resources, it can all be figured out.

I understand what you're saying but my mechanic just replaced the ABC shocks, pump, and accumulators along with some of the lines. The cost was over $5k. From my standpoint that is just too much money to spend on a car that's over 13 years old when there are other alternatives.

"... but my mechanic just replaced..."
If I had to pay someone to maintain the car, I couldn't (or wouldn't) afford to drive a Mercedes-Benz.

Wallyp it wasn't my car. I just happened to stop by the shop while the gentleman's car was being serviced. Apparently he could afford the repairs because the work was being performed.
However, for me personally before I would spend that kind of money on repair cost that you would never recover I would just upgrade to another vehicle. It's not a question of being able to afford the repairs or capable of doing them, it comes down to basic economics. It's the same reason why I never purchase new cars. Simply put, the depreciation for the first two/three years is just awful.
