Just curious, is it possible (and if yes then how much its gonna cost) to connect v60 to 2001 S500 with connection to cell installed?

The short quick answer is yes you can. I recently upgraded my old startac phone to the new v60. the cost of the upgrade will depend on the parts you need to purchase.

Which phone do you currently have in you S500?

The car I got has only connection for the phone and the phone was missing...
Since it is off-lease car I assume and it looks like the original phone (which I believe was Motorola TimePort P8767 - I am not sure though).
I have to try someone who has this phone and then try to connect it.
Also I have a v60 (my old one ) that I am thinking to retrofit into this car.
Also, since this car already has a connection (as specified above), is it going to be hard to refit it to v60?

its not a diy. you have to replace the electornis module for the phone- which is probabyl in the trunk as well as the harness and cables. Cost should be about ~$2000...Im retrofiting a bluetooth BMW phone kit to my 7er

As far as your old V60 working with the mercedes kit, it won't unless it is the mercedes V60. The mercedes phones have special software to allow it to connect and be used with the COMAND system etc.

From the factory it's a $2K option with the voice module.

The V60 can be installed in your car. You will need the following compnents:

(1) Motorola V60 Cradle: $200 Dealer
(1) Motorola V60 Short Cable: $200 Dealer
(1) VRM (Vocie Recognition Module) - If Needed. $300 Dealer
(1) V60 PSE (electronic "brain" in the trunk): $400 Dealer
(1) Mercedes Benz V60 phone: $600 Dealer

You have to buy the Mercedes Benz. Ohter V60 phones will not work in your car because the MB version has special software that works with your Command System.

I recently purchased everything that I needed on ebay and I paid $200 for a MB V60i (T) and $300 for a MB V60 Upgrade kit which contined everything except the phone ($300).

I replace my MB Startac with the MB V60. It took 40 minutes for me to do the complete upgrade and everything works great. Grand total for my upgrade ($500).

I purchased the v60 phone from ebay user ethirty6 (e36autosport@comcast.net ). He usually has several of the MB phones for sale.

The v60 Upgrade kit was purchased from ebay user Abbie Ibrahim (abbiei@chezmet.com). I would suggest that you email both of them and see if they have what you need.
