W220 03 s500 auxiliary cable install

I wasn't able to figure out how to install the auxiliary cable that you buy seperatley at Mercedes. It requires you to take out the radio unit but I'm not sure how to connect the cable or where. I searched everything possible for help but found nothing. Anyone here know what to do?

2003 Aux Cable

Is this an aux cable that goes from the Command unit to the glove box? Or an aux cable that goes from the glove box connector to an outside audio device?

the 2003 model year cars should have an aux headphone jack inside the glove compartment . Look there . It's the only model year that has it . Yiu just use a standard headphone cord

Thanks for the reply. Yes it's he 03 auxiliary cable that goes to the glove box on the left side. Do you know if I have to to any re wiring? There's only a hole for the cable and nothing else. The cable costs about $60 and they want $180 just to install it. It's the w210 e class aux cable and it's supposed to be able to work with w220. I know I'm capable of doing the job but the Mercedes dealer wouldn't share any info. The only spot that it will connect with is a wire already hooked up the the radio and I have to disconnect that to plug in the cable. And that gave me no sound. I looked up the schematics to see what wire does what but it's pretty confusing to me since I don't work on electronics usually.

I know 03 was the only year that came with auxiliary option stock. Mine is the original radio and it came with no cable. I've only seen one 03 w220 with the cable connected before at a junkyard I tried to follow where the cable went but wasn't able to.

For clarity's sake, there should be a jack already in the front, upper, left side corner of your glove box. Are you asking this because the wiring & jack have been removed from your car?

I'm asking because I want to install it myself without paying the dealership. I don't think there was one installed In my car before or it would still be in the glove box. There's just an empty hole. Where does the cable attach behind the radio?

2003 S500 - Toyota Corolla (in the rain)
I have a 03 S500 that came with the cable in the glove box and it works. I use it with my IPOD. The only problem is that it doesn't provide any charging, just play back. In order to get it to work I have to use the AUX on the command unit. So perhaps there is some type of AUX input on the unit. I have no idea how it is connected to the system since mine has never been out of the car.

Bluetooth

Hey I'm not sure if you specifically want an aux but I installed a Bluetooth for $40 all I do is stay on the radio frequency. I just bought the part on eBay the Bluetooth adapter and plugged it in the rear cigarette lighter and its hidden you don't even realize it's there. I've the bluetooth for over a year now and no problems with it.
