Let me get to business, planning to buy a second hand S500L from 2003. However, the specs etc. were sent to me in german, so I cant read much, and in case ANYONE can, feel free to help me out. Here is all the info I got including price etc.:

Now, I wonder is still a great price? or "normal" after looking around? My contact found this, but seeing that ppl are knowledgeable here I wonder what yuo guys think?

A couple of things here i can notice that might help you with your decision...

Even though you did not put your Location in user preferences, it is obvous that you are getting a European car. In US manu of the listed options come either standard or as a part of some package.

The milage (read km) is a little bit on the high end of normal usage for MY03, so check who own this car before and wether the car was used for commercial purpose (i.e. limousine, etc.)

Next, find online price estimator for Europe (in US edmunds.com and kbb.com are quite allright for this...).

Next, check the condition and wear & tear of the car... For MY03 it must look like brand new car - nothing less..

And the last thing I would do - bring it to authorized Mercedes dealer and let them do a full check of the car (even at your own exepense) as well as DO NOT forget to check VMI (car service history) records at dealer's.

Well, I have almost decided to get this car. The reason, I talked to the owner's secretary. Without giving away too many details, its a high up in MB, in germany. So yes, I heard its spotless, its been used to drive him around. So yeah, mileage might be a tad high..

In any case, I checked the codes, and it seems it has those "comfort packages" but not the 4matic, or distronic nor the ABC. So that was the only downside. but for this price, I compared you dont even get a 2 year old 430 in some cases here in EU. so I think I will buy..

Talked with Germany today, and yes I will make the payment TOMORROW
