04 s600 TT exhaust mod

so I知 already getting 3 inch cat back down pipes but I知 not sure if the car will still be really quiet. Does anyone have experience modding their exhausts I知 looking for loud but without sacrificing too much backpressure

Maybe I’ll just delete secondaries idk I want to remove whatever restricts the sound the most but I don’t want to remove things that are better off left alone

Deleting the resonators (the middle mufflers in the system) adds just a tiny bit of sound. The car is still quiet.

The stock system isn't restrictive, it's all big dual 2.75" pipe with relatively straight through mufflers. The 600 cars have an extra resonator that the 65 doesn't, so if you remove that it will sound like a 65. There are plenty of youtube vids of v12's with no mufflers or cutouts or whatever you would like. Nothing will hurt the car, and even straight piped isn't too loud due to the length of the system and the very small turbine housings, coupled with the inherent smooth notes of a V12. Only place to gain a little power is by removing the cats. The rest will all be sound.

Backpressure is bad, you don't want to keep any resistance downstream of the turbos on any car for any reason. People have that word out there used completely wrong.
