When exactly does the Airmatic lower the vehicle...I want to keep it low all the time

I noticed that my vehicle lowers down when I park, but sometimes it doesnt. As much as possible I want my vehicle to give it that slammed look. Is there a way I can do that??

Also, If I set the sport suspension, does this lower my ride?

Sport mode stiffens the suspension response and reduces body roll. The only time the car lowers is driving 75 mph or higher.

Thanks for the response, So I gather the sport mode will stiffen the ride but won't lower the vehicle in any way.

Also, when I park the vehicle, sometimes the vehicle lowers and sometimes it does not. How can I make this a constant?

Have that checked out with your dealer. Sounds like a slight problem to me. As for giving your S class a slammed look, there are lowering modules from different companies that electronically lower the car when you're parked.

I think what you are describing is a similar probelm I had. Dealer replaced control module, pump and struts and now it works just fine.

Eibach has introduced a lowering module for the ABC suspension, RB Tech also offers it, and I believe Autowerks Direct has them too from Carlsson.

If you do a search, some people from the CL Forum that have slammed their cars by just swapping washers.

when you park, and you get out, and the vehicle lowers....i think this is normal, same thing happens with our car. i think its because say you have 4 ppl in the car, so thats 600 extra pounds, atleast...and when you get in, the car will have to raise to balance the wheight out, and when you exit, all the wheight it lifted off, and the car is actually raised, so it has to lower to the normal height. i am not sure about being slammed, it should raise to the correct level once you drive again. this is what i came up logically....i hope there isnt anything wrong

I don't know if this helps, but I saw an E500 on display at some casino in Vegas that had all the air released out of the airmatic and it looked slammed like 5-6 inches, and it looked pretty bad___ IMO, but I don't think the car was driveable...also seen someone on this forum do this for a car show, search the forum you should be able to find it...
