19's ......HELP

Help, please...I have posted this problem on another forum, the guys were very nice and helpful, but no solution was found...I have a set of Carlsson 19's on my S500, the car vibrates when it is running between 110 and 125 km/h...does anybody has a similar problem. The wheels are balanced already. My dealer told me that some of the S class with AMG package (18's) also experience the same problem, and they have no idea what went wrong...

You might have bad tires. If the tires is good then the rims is no good. Time to get new rims. Go with Brabus and you won't have any problem . Good luck!

Thanx for your help SL Brabus! Would bad rims cause this vibration only on specific speed? Because if I am not in the 110 to 125 km/h range, the car runs fine (both below and above this speed range).

I Hope You Did Not Buy Use Rims, Because Use Rims Alway Have Problem. Carlsson Make Good Rims. Unless TheY Bend And Been Fix Then It No Good. AMG package should not do that because the car have to go over 130mph with out vibrates.

I have brand new 18" AMG wheels (with Bridgestone Potenza RE050's) on our S500 and also experience some vibration between 60-70mph from time to time. Only seems to come from the driver-side front.
Somewhat puzzling asit's not consistent. Wonder is this could be an Airmatic issue.
Either way, make sure not to use the tire pressure listed in the fuelcap door as they are only for the 16" or 17" stock tires.

Interstingly though I'm positive it's the tires I recently replaced my old tires(Michelin pilots) with Toyo's same size swap 245/18/40 all around.
I had this local tire shop pulling their hair out !! I brought it back 5 times and they couldn't fix it, then they started arguing that it must of been an existing problem before the swap. So I suggested puting my old tires back on and then have the shop manager test drive it w/me and sure enough no vibration!!Go figure. But since I allready drove on the new set they wouldn't give me my money back but instead offered a deal to far in their favor for some new Michelin pilots..Hence I'm just abusing these Toyo's until they fall apart they're cheap!! :v

I've never thought of that, thericker55, thanx I'll certainly have somebody check on the tires for me. I think the tire shop which put on the tires on the rims for me was taking advantage of me. They used truck valve stems (which are like 5cm long) instead of my original ones (I found out about this when I went to a tuner shop and they were laughing at my extremely long valve stems). Thank you so much guys

My buddy had the same problem with his 18 inch Brabus wheels. The problem ended up being that he needed centering rings that go on between the wheel and the hub.
