I know this is the W220 Forum but, they test drove a 2004' SL600
I know Mercedes underates their vehicles perf. data but a full second off 0-60!!!!! They tested a completly stock SL600 and got 3.6 SECONDS 0-60!!!!!!!!
The QUARTER mile in 11.9 SECONDS!!!!!!! My god that's awesome

Of all the automotive magazines, Car & Driver seems to be the most aggressive when it comes to getting the best performance data out of the cars. Other magazines have mocked them for thrashing the cars but the numbers suggest that Car & Driver editors are really trying to answer the question "What'll it do?"

Agreed......
I haven't seen an episode where they've tested a 04' S500, 04' S55, or S600.
Has anybody? I'd really like to know what they came up with for those models? 0-60mph times .......

Thanks Jbrady, interesting stuff....
It's really kind of funny though, how the Mercedes SL600 has similar performance to those supercars and yet out weighs them all ?????
