Corteco vs Mercedes OEM Accumulators

Has anyone noticed an appreciable difference between these?
I believe when I installed the Corteco accumulators I noticed a significant drop in the ride quality, but I can't be sure.
This would only really make sense if Corteco were NOT the OEM supplier for the accumulators, otherwise they should be the same.

Maybe someone else has some experience with these

I think the ride quality drop might be due to the system providing a harder ride because the accumulators are alot stiffer.

They ARE the same. Corteco is an OEM supplier to Daimler

That doesn't mean they meet the same specifications, although that's the best chance short of buying genuine.

I think it's expensive for Corteco to not make them meet the same requirements and specifications as the OEM version

Parts are made in batches - Corteco almost certainly has not had a continuous production line for the accumulators since W220 production stopped in 2006. That makes it very possible that they might have changed the design in some details. For example, production of the rubber and fabric diaphragm will also possibly have changed due to material cost or availability at some point.

It's also possible they give mercedes the good ones, and simply sell the less good ones under their name. It's even possible they use the same but cheaper process (say skip a step mercedes demands but they feel is superfluous) for their corteco branded stuff.

This isn't unheard of in the car industry. I've seen aftermarket parts be basically the same, but the finish isn't as smooth or whatever. Again, this is all speculation and corteco/mercedes is just an example here.
