Drag strip results '01 S500
Went to the drag strip last night...around 65 degrees outside and the car had 1/2 a tank of gas. Car ran consistent low 14.30's with the best being a 14.300...it's so consistent, it would make a good bracket car.
60-2.170
330-6.076
660-9.251@77.90
1000-11.994
1320- 14.300@97.86
some good air and 1/8 tank of gas i hope to get into the teens!

I'm not very versed in track results besides the famous 1/4 mile times

He reported his times broken down by how many feet he traveled. 60ft,330ft,1000ft,1320ft(1/4mile).
Hope this helps. He may have been going roughly 60mph 330 ft after he started, but the criterion for measurment was distance not rate.

Thanks rguy for trying to help, I deduced those figures to be distance traveled
I just wondered if the 6.076 was equivalent to 0-60 since Mercedes quotes the stock 0-60 time at 6.1 sec for 00'-04' S500 models..Housclass is your S500 completely stock? Thanks for the compliment.

For my 02 S500, I'm using (2) K&N 33-2181

The ricker55. I guess you missed my point. What I was saying is that in no way can you pick a single distance and a single time and get instantaneous rate. Unless housclass has an exact memory of how fast he was going at the 330 ft marker, which is sorely unlikely, that information gets lost through the cracks.
What you can do is use physics, statistics, and a few other dark magic sciences to come up with an extremely close estimate. Two sets of data, three equations, and a sore thumb later....here you go: 0-60mph in 6.28574 seconds. The number gets more accurate with more data, especially with more velocity data, but I am really confident this is accurate because the pattern was so accurate and consistent.

I took my w140 s500 to the track I was running 14.7/14.6/14.5 and I mest up all 3 times. I can run easy 14.3, Its amazing what our beasts can do. We are underated in the power department. And I have raced the w220 s500 on the street. I beat him by a bit more then a car from a 45 mile roll.
