Unknown key

Locking Lug Bolts.
One of the old "Clubs" - a steel bar, locking the steering wheel.
Some car covers have locks to prevent their theft.
An aftermarket alarm system with a hidden key switch.
Have you tried the factory metal keys hidden inside the key fobs? Does the mystery key look like one of those? Are you familiar with the mechanical trunk/boot lock?

I would try it (without forcing!) in each of the four locks, inserting in each direction, and turning in each direction. While I was doing that, I would do the same for each of the metal keys from the key fobs. My first guess is that a previous owner wanted a spare metal key, or that one or more locks have been changed. It is not at all unusual for the trunk lock to be difficult to operate, since that is rarely done, and it is a bit complicated to operate. Lubrication might be helpful.
