drpo that 60foot time and you'll be running 13's. I gotta go to the track I was having aweful 60foot times. I ran 14.5 on my heavier w140 s500

TO REST PERMANENTLY.... It just isn't possible even w/your performace chip, Your W140 is just to FAT! you need to lose about 650 or 700 LB's to just get along side a 00'-04' S500 0-60 times for newer Sclass are 6.1 sec w140 0-60 times are between 7.0-7.2 sec

Don't believe me? I'm setting up a mercedes track day, I can easily run 14.4, my big car is a pure factory beast. I have ran a 2002 s500, from a 40 mph roll and I beat him. I raced my friends other 2003 s500 from a stop and we were dead even like movie flick style .

Would leave your w140 by 4-5 car lengths in a race, he got a 14.05 even if you could muster "BS" a 14.50 or 14.40 every tenth of a sec equates to a full car length in a race, so what are you talking about??? What does this mean? "House that was from a roll????" Housclass was at the drag strip, he power braked to 1300rpm, that doesn't mean his wheels were spinning. It means he put 1 foot on the brake and 1 on the gas simultaneously, until he hit 1300rpm, then he let his foot off the brake and took off!! It creates a better launch. You seem like an allright guy but your just wishfull thinking you have a special "Factory Beast" Mercedes has very stringent manufacturing guidelines, your car is rated at 315hp & 347to the 00'-04' S500 has 302hp & 339to and weighs some 700 odd lbs. less than your w140. Your perf. chip might give you 10-15 more horse on the top end, the only thing the chips really do for a non-aspirated engine is improve throttle response, and slightly improve shift points. That's not enough improvment to make up your TITANIC WEIGHT DISADVANTAGE. Your story is about as beliveable as a guy saying "Oh I have an 00' S430 and just beat a guy w/a 00' S500" not gonna happen dude!

I'll video tape my freind racing me in his s500 and believe me its an s500, and we are dead even the whole time. Yes I know what break torque is, When I went to the track I never got my torque past 1000 rpm's because I got confused by the yellow yellow green all 3 times! Truly you fellas can believe what you want, the same way people didn't believe me that I beat the 740il by about 5-6 cars. Had to get the fella from the beemer forum to authnicate my story.

A suposed "BS" 14.50 run in your car, Housclass ran a 14.05 that decimates you buy at least 5 car lengths in a 1/4 mile race (each 10th of a sec = 1 car length in a race) do you realize how ridiculous you sound? Trying to make us believe--- A 1995 4,850lb w140 w/torque-347 @3900rpm is going to beat or be able to hang w/2000-2004 4,180lb S500 w/torque-339 @2,700rpm???
Get real man, your torque curve is inferior, your overweight nearly 700lbs..
The only way your claims would be possible is, as you put it Mercedes accidentally made you a "Factory Beast" hahaha, they would have to have accidentally put a 5.5 liter AMG ingine in your TUB!! to make it as quick as you claim it to be. I have a friend that restores old Mopar muscle cars, he told me a good rule of thumb for HP to weight ratio: Every 100lbs is = to 10HP So your car would have to have an additional 70hp + torque making your "Factory Beast" have 385hp + 417to to make your claims true hahaha
Hell the 02' 5.5 AMG only has 354hp + 395to. Get real man, I don't care what phony video you put up......

I have a question how many gears do you have in your S class Soviet benz?

and the new, lighter, better geared, s500 has 5. If, you guys raced for a half mile as soon as your car clicks into 3rd and the newer S clicks into 4th its game over! your car will be reving too high and when it comes close to clicking into 4th gear (overdrive) it will feel like it has stoped moving and the new S class will glide past you like you are off the gas..

im not denying your car can keep up with it light to light but when triple digit speeds are involved IMO its impossible.

if you wanna race at floyd bennet field give me a time ill borrow my dads 2001 S500 and we will see if you can keep up .

by the way im not trash talking just taking you up on your offer!

if there's anyone in the houston area with a older s-class 500, i'd be willing to give up a 7 tenths spot on the tree at the strip. at hrp you can request dial-ins on friday night...think it would be fun and help bury this thread.

i know there was a lexus guy on this board a couple months ago bragging about his stock ls400 running 14.0's...if you're still around, lets meet up at the strip...

it would be nice if someone with a ls430 would be willing to race also. Seems like i've seen so many threads about how the ls430 is just as fast as the 500. before i bought my 500, i drove a ls430 and a 7series bmw...neither car could touch the performance of the 500 at lower speeds...at least from seat of the pants.

if anyone else on the boards wants to race at the strip, let me know. if there's one thing i don't like, is someone talking smack (not in reference to s0vietbenz) and not willing to back themselves up!!!!

man if soviet is saying so why dont you guys just beleive him i mean just like he said hes a member of this site just because he shares the same passion we all do Benzes so why would he come here and just lie to start fights i dont see how thats possible. i also dont beleive that his car got lucky in the factory and is just a better stock car but maybe his mod has somthing to do with it or the way he drives maybe he has a iron foot or somtin...my point is dont argue like immature kids guys comon
