Is it true that the new S AMG would be a S65 instead of the 55 i havent confirmed with my MB dealership....

For 2006, the US will see BOTH a S55 and S65. The S65 will be limited to 400 units sent to the US.

2006???? I thought the S-Class is being replaced as a 2006 model. Or is the US a year behind for the S-Class release?

I haven't heard anything about the S65 being released in the States as the CL and SL65's are already here in very limited #'s.

The S65 is out in Europe and will be features in next months 'Mercedes Enthusiast' (UK Mag they sell at B&N).

BTW, the 65's have the nicest wheels I think I have ever seen.

yup, S65 is coming. New S will prolly show up in 2006 as an 07 model.

the MB sales rep told me the car is totally impractical but that wouldnt stop ppl that can get it from buying one for example full open throttle on the sl65 the car will spin out even with traction on...when going from dead stop
