Wheel Question

I am looking for new wheels and I have come across some with the 5x112 bolt pattern that I need but they have a 20+ offset. They are 20"x8.5". Do you know if these will fit my 2000 S500? Also, what would the reccomended tire size be for this?

Thanks

Offsets that work on the Sclass are anywhere between 35-44, 44 is the stock offset.

Doesn’t it contradict with the following thread???

But like Luke from the Tire Rack said "It also depends on width of the rim"
Those 20+ off sets your talking about will probably stick out 2-3" from your wheel well making your car look and drive like a Clown mobile. You'll be better off searching for some off sets on the higher side ie. 35 & up to no more than 46, 44 is as I said before the stock #

No problem, did you end up finding some other wheels?

a car
Just to keep in mind, the lower the offset you have the more your wheels will stick outwards, however if you've got a higher offset, your wheels will go inside the vehicle.

I hope that made sense.

Those Ebay wheels look pretty good.....Are they 18"

Also in those pic's showing the new wheels, that's an 00'-02' Sclass w/all the 03'-on up lighting upgrades, thing is I haven't seen one w/the 03'-on up mirriors installed. I thought it might not be possible but obviously they work!
If you didn't notice the 00'-02' difference from the new 03'-04' besides lighting is the hood design (The way it intersects the bumper) the older model has a smaller grill too.

Those are the S600 rims, look amazing. If they fit the S500, which I am pretty sure they would than go for them man they would look sweet on your car.

for the 20x8.5 you might want to get a 255/35/20 for the front tires. i have the same size for the front of my car.
