Mercedes all the way!
they call THAT competition?
even if the interiors are great, i'll never be seen in cars that ugly! the BMW is even worse than before -- i'm telling you, they copied the Asian Toyota Camry -- same headlights and very similar tail-lights!
as for the LS.. lexus still needs to learn a thing or two about design... it looks so dated it's unbelievable. good thing there's still the S-class

Lexus demonstrates another tasteless attempt of getting comparable with MB. The vehicle shown above is more like brainless mix of Caddy CTS with upcoming W221.

That's not the new LS, it's the Toyota Crown (Athlete, I think). It's already out and selling in Japan. The new LS won't be released until like MY07, and Toyota is much more secretive than to allow a spy pic out already.
The new 7-series looks nicer, but the W220 is still more beautiful. Too bad that will probably change with the W221...
This segment is getting crowded:
S-class
7-series
A8
LS
Q45 (This will be going away for MY06 and returning with a new name and better than ever for MY07, supposedly)
XJ
Phaeton
Quattroporte
That's not including Cadillac's MY06 DTS, which I don't think is meant as competition in this class.
Hopefully MB blows the competition away with the W221 release, but I'm not sure if they'll ever retake the lead from Lexus's LS. Even the 7-series sold more in Jan...

W220 was the last and the best model designed by Bruno Sacco!

Shall MB S-Class fight with those too?
