New S-Class picture, almost there!!!
Not sure if I like the flared fenders and the bling bling looking wheels.

Oh no...no impact stripes...I always liked my Mercs with those stripes, not only does it reduce door dings they also make the car look more muscular.

Yeah, must be one of those acquired taste things.....
Only thing really bugging me is that the new design looks great at certain angles and horrible at others.....especially that one that makes the fender flares bang you in the face. The current SL looks awesome at ALL angles...not just some.
Gosh I hope the final is stunning....I have a goal to snag an S65 next year......sure hope I don't have to scratch those plans.

nope, they're different. some other pictures SUGGESTED how it MIGHT look like. while some were actual pictures. but i've never seen this particular one before.
i don't think it looks anything like the mondeo: sure those fender flares are powerful but it's not as if they're a new design feature. the SL has huge flares as well and the W211 very noticeable ones. they're just sizing it up -- it's a bit controversial i guess, but nothing i can't take. it certainly looks like it's gona b a HUGE car again -- no more nice W220 political correctness i guess. to me that's a good thing hehe :P
now, really wana see those headlamps and tail-lamps. i remember i hated the W220 when it first came up but today i think it's the most beautiful big saloon around. guess merc has a way of getting you liking them very quickly =) can't wait for the unveiling...

not everyone did. what was said was (e.g. by Natalie), in some "pictures" there were fender flares and in others, there weren't. so that's why we know it's a photoshop. the picture at the top of this thread has never been posted in these forums before. and it certainly looks real. =)

Afraid i'm going to have to wait till I see some AMG pics before I judge this model. It does look a bit "strange" but then so did the normal CLS when it came out. The AMG CLS is one of my favourite now and if what they did with the CLS is what they are going to do with the new S then things are going to be veryyyyy interesting.....

I actually like the color. Almost got one like that. Looks like, maybe, pewter. Anyway I just can't get over those fender flares. They look almost cartoonish. Like a caricature of what an MB is "supposed" to look like.

wow... that is one ugly buttons on the steering wheel... is that straight from Toyota mirror adjuster?! Wow im so disapointed..... And i really wanna see what their version of i drive is going to be.... But i'm really disapointed with the steering wheel buttons... wow...
