Saw a completely untaped S350
Go see my thread in the ML section. I've run into these guys three times. I know where they're staying, so I'm going to drop by the hotel and see if I can get some new pics. But, so far I've seen an S350 completely untaped and etc, a new ML63/R63, and the new CL class...

These guys are staying at the Windmill Suites on Bell Road in Sun City. I've seen quite a few different cars over there. From what I got out of the conversation when I ran into them at Outback, they're here for a few weeks specifically to test the cars in hot weather.
After seeing it in person, my opinion has completely changed.

I believe I need to start carrying a real camera with me because this is the third time in less than a week I've run into them. All of my camera phone pics came out like crap except for the S.
Concidently, I love this car much more now that I've seen it in person -- and it wasn't even LWB or an upgraded model with an AMG package.

It's family resemblance! Look at the trunk notch, the shape of the tail lights, the wheel arches. MB copied the Forenza for the new S and the XG350 for the Maybach. It's okay that they're not creative enough to come up with their own ideas, because I think theirs looks better anyways. :p

Sorry guys but this new S model has yet to grow on me. I really dislike the fenders. Also, the car reminds me of something British. I love the brits but not this car at the present time. Maybe some aftermarket wheels might help.

I have mixed feeling about the new S class. I think MB lost it with their prestige on designs. Seem like another Chris Bangle-like coming in MB way.

termigni- that is an excellent job right there. Let's face it, all cars do look alike, and the Forenza and S-Class are similar in more ways than one. However, you can always say "oh, it looks like a Honda/Toyota/Chrysler/other plebe brand", but I am confident that this car will, from the day it hits the streets, by anyone even remotely knowledgeable about cars, never be mistaken for anything other than an S-Class.

The new S class is hands down most handsome luxury sedan out there. I go to Jersey City pretty often and I saw the new S class untaped many times. those are driven by the people at MBUSA. they are unmistakable Mercedes Benz Flagship cars. I
f you don't believe me there is another thread in this board by someone who saw the new S by lincoln tunnel exit. as a matter of fact i saw three of them the other day; silver, pewter, and black rolling all together as i was walking on the side walk. they are SIMPLY AMAZING.
