something fast
its kind of pointless with the s600, the only option is the wheels. I like the idea, all cars will have the options, the hard part will be picking the color. the only thing that sucks is no sports package.

Thumbs up

It says no options and $140k MSRP.
That would make it on par with a loaded old gen S600.....

I bet by this fall they will have the Sport Package available. What I am wondering about is the Rear Tray Table option and Rear Seat DVD System. Does anyone know if these are standard on S600 or options not released yet?

04 - S600 Sport
It's a bummer they aren't offering the sport package on the 600. I hope they do eventually offer it. Also, hard to tell from the pics but the 600 doesn't seem to have the chrome exhausts. Bummer if it doesn't.

MB Manhattan says they probably won't have the sport package for the car. They were not sure about the chrome exhausts. According to them MB wants the 600 to remain a refined classy executive look. Those who want sporty can opt for the upcomming S65 (for a few bucks more).

I still haven't decided on which one to get. I like the sporty look so will more than likely opt for the S65. I just want to ensure it has the exclusive leather package (as the 06's do). Personally I like the wood steering wheel though the 65 won't have it. Not sure they can swap it out because of the controls.

If anyone has any pics or info on the 07 S65, please do share.

S65 AMG info

S65 will have the wood leather wheel and the Exclusive leather. It also has an IWC clock with a black face - really cool. There are no plans for the rear tray tables. RSE at the earliest would be next MY if ever. Have you seen the price for RSE?? It is 4000 Euros plus it requires a number of options which would bring the cost to approx. 6-7K. I say go aftermarket - it will be better and less than half the cost. Don't worry, the S600 includes chrome tailpipes. I think either the S65 or S600 (perhaps both) might be at the NYIAS next week. Yes, no AMG for the S600. Looks like you have the choice of S65 or S63 if you want AMG.

Does the S65 have blue glass like other sport and AMG models?
Why was Black Birds Eye Maple discontinued?

I entered pricing data for the S600 a few weeks ago. So if anyone wants a quick answer of how the S600's price compares to the S550 or 760 after adjusting for features, you can now get it.

My page for the S-Class:
http://www.truedelta.com/models/s-class.php

I haven't entered other cars in this segment because sales are so low. But if many people request a particular car, I'll see what I can do.

I recently added the ability to convert all prices into monthly payments, but that's going to be ugly with the S600. I hope to also provide lease payments in the future, but that's much more complicated.

My dealer (Rallye in NY) has ZERO availability for the S600...hot car. I love my wood wheel on my current S500, and it comes with the Designo I just ordered (S550 w/Espresso Designo and AMG Sport package).

I truly think the wood wheel makes the interior. I also can't believe that the S63 doesn't come loaded. Most dealers order the car with limited options due to the price.

Marvelous! As much as I like the Graphite edition I think it’s too common, the Espresso was a smart choice. I also agree with the wood wheel. In your case it looks that much better in Maple. I wasn’t aware that the AMG package was available on the 600 or in combination with the Designo package. Congratulations, and be sure to post some pictures.

The blue glass is on the C and E Class. The S class with AMG package has the standard Infra Red glass all around.

Dan...the S600 does not come with the AMG package and cannot be ordered with it. The only option is the Multi-Spoke wheel for $1200.

My error, long day, thought he said S600 with Designo & AMG. Now I see, he mentioned 600 but ordered a 550. Thanks Jack.
