Anybody watch this show on HBO? In the new season of Entourage, they now drive a new S550 which looks like it has an AMG package, the 5 spoke rims that were first out on the CLS55 and now i see on the SL, and brake ducts in the front spoiler just to name a few mods. The brake ducts are the biggest thing i noticed cuz i thought it was an AMG car. Maybe it is cuz i havent seen the rear exhaust yet. It does sound like the car has a stronger rumble than i expected. Where are these pieces or this car?

the show is about a crew of friends who move from NY to LA as one is a rising star in Hollywood. The whole superficial glam but awesome lifestyle set the show apart. Since they go everywhere together practically, Vince has his crew as an "entourage".

They had better shots of it today's episode. There was no side badging. I think it could be just a regular S550 with AMG/F1 package.

Yeah, I wonder what happened to the Maserati? Oh, that's right. They gave it to the young kids at the party, a month before the lease was up.

I think the S-class blows away the Maserati in terms of the "power look".

I'll watch the episode again. The car looks stunning. I'm beginning to dig the whole flat-spoke look again. The deep lip phase is getting a bit old.

i have watched all the episodes recorded and it seems as if the director purposely leaves the AMG V8 or V12 badges out of the shots that are close enough to see. I didnt know this car had even been released here in the US. I have only seen offshore cars such as in the middle east.

If they are using the car then MB probably supplied the car for the exposure and subliminal advertising and MB is probalby paying them for the exposure. Many products are advertised this way and it is good income for the producers.

According to a buddy over at the Sopranos while this is true for movies and even network television, product placements on HBO are not paid and their appearance is left entirely up to the show's writers whereas placements bring more realism to the show.

ummmm......yea......kinda know that. I dont think we have any 8 year olds on this board.

As for placement, it is blatant on some shows like 24 where the whole show will be with Expeditions and other Ford's. But they switch the "brand of the week" each week. Entourage seems to have a nice mix each and every show. If they do pay for exposure, it isnt blatant.

Yea, NevadaJack stating the obvious..

Anyways, for people that watch the damn show, every car they had on has been featured somehow.. from the Hummer, to the RR Phantom, to the Maserati, even E's old Honda civic.

All of a sudden, they drive around in the new S class and there's no mention of it at all. /shrug
