All Mystic colors have different hues depending on the angle between the light source and your eye. Mystic White is subtler than the old Mustang Mystic, but it's far more interesting or busier (depending on your point of view) than plain white.

In bright light it looks a bit pearly, but at dusk or dawn or under street lights it has all kinds of angle-dependent color undertones. Whether they strike you as interesting or flashy will determine whether Mystic is your kind of finish. But you'll never confuse it with Arctic or Alabaster.

Have you considered a CLS, it is available with Diamond White paint, which is very close to the mystic white paint, but it is not a designo option, it only has a $700 upcharge. You can order that with the nappa leather upgrade and every since option on a CLS with the MSRP only $85k.

CAN ANYONE HELP!

Hi everyone!

So here's my problem. 3 years ago I ordered a mystic white s550 4matic. After waiting for an entire year, my salesman told me that they no longer make it in mystic white, so I withdrew my order. About 9 months ago, I went in to look around, and he said that they are making my color option again!!! After about 3-4 months, he told me that I would be one of the last to recieve my 2008, but if I waited an extra 2-3 months, I could get one of the first 2009 models. Today i got the call that broke my heart- they are no longer making the s500's in mystic white. My family has bought about 5 cars from this guy, and my theory is that he has gotten a little too comfortable, and despite numerous phone calls from me making sure everything was fine this time around. Now I'm looking for a good MB dealership that can hopefully get my car. If anyone could point me in the direction of a good, well running MB dealer, please email me!!!

Sincerely,
Sarah

P.S. If you're buying a MB in New Jersey, I'll let you know where NOT to go (they're fine if your buying off the lot like anyone else, but I would never again trust them with an order)

Hmm, you might try Greg Weiler at MB Westminster in Colorado. He's a sponsor here and we've had several members order from him and one or two from another man at Westminster. They may or may not be able to help with the Mystic White, but they're definitely a class act over there. Another member, Chucky500, bought an S550 from them and had it shipped to NY with no problems.

If you're going to consider it, I would PM Nevada Jack or post in the GL forum about them (two of them ordered from there). Nevada Jack bought his S550 and GL550 from them.

thanks

Thanks for the tip! Before I read that, I tried MB of Manhattan... they seem like they might be able to do it, if that fails, I will definately try them. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes, and thanks again!!

As we now all know, every one of the three indispensable designo packages is available.

I still think the best trim for the designo white package would be labarador blue stone trim, or even star galaxy stone.
