Request for input or pics: S without rear-seat package

I'd appreciate any input on the appearance of an S without the rear seat package. It is only the appearance I'm concerned with; I know I don't care for the seat adjustability. Does the rear of an S without the rear-seat package look any different, other than the obvious lack of seat and climate controls?

I can only find cars that include the rear package nearby and the only photos I've found so far also show it with the rear-seat package.

Thanks!
Paul

not really

Not Really, I had an S550 and everyone including myself fell in love with the rear seats, for their comfort and roominess, Its just that they loved it even more now that I have the S600 just because of all the gadgets that they get to play with.

This may sound like a stupid question - but - since you had an S550 before, and now an S600....... is the power difference completely unbelievably significant? Honestly. I think my S550 is SUPER fast........ and I regularly cruise at high speeds like it was nothing. So - was wondering whether the 600 is just mind blowing in that department. Gadgets I know....

Here are some pics of the rear seat area...passengers have commented on how comfortable the seats are and the extra controls really don't mean much to them.

Thanks NevadaJack and Xecution!

Thanks for the input, Xecution. And Nevada Jack, fantastic pics as usual-- I was hoping you might be one of the guys to respond to my request

This helps me feel better about 'settling' for a stripped down S63. I was about to pull the trigger on a maxed out Designo Graphite 550 when my salesperson mentioned that he had an April build S63 become available.

Cheers,
Paul

I wouldn't call it mind blowing in comparison, but it is fast as hell for such a large vehicle, the only problem is when you take off really fast, first of all with all the safety features the tranny seems to shift a little weird even with the traction control off, and you also never forget that you are in a large vehicle and not a sports car which doesn't really give you the confidence you need to keep going faster and faster, Don't get me wrong the ABC is amazing, but the high stance and weight is still obvious when you mash the pedal.

Well it is sort of hard to miss something if you've never had it. The S550 rear seat is an amazing place to be, but the S600 rear seat makes the S-class seem like the all out luxury car that it was meant to be, IMO
