Mercedes S-Class (W221) AMG
Well it is not that simple because of the following:
You have to worry about the black plastic piece which overlays the exhaust pipes and the upper part of the rear bumper. Currently for AMG package it is cut to fit only one pipe not 2 pipes on each side.
You have to worry also about the colored piece below the black plastic piece in the rear bumper. In S65 this piece is shorter that the one on the AMG package.
Honestly, I don't know if each comes in part by itself (which I strongly believe so). You better ask a Mercedes workshop. After you make sure that you can get these, then you have to worry finally about the last part of the exhaust pipes themselves which you can change. And no you will not loose any horsepowers, actually you are going to gain an additional 2 (at least in theory).
Your problem is that you have the AMG package on your S550. If you had the non AMG which comes by default on S550 then you can just buy the dual adapter widely available and just bolt them yourself and nobody can tell. However, these dual pipes on each side are separated and not sticked to each other like the fancy S65 pipes which the expert eye can identify.
Good Luck

Mercedes S-Class (W221) AMG
Mercedes only offers the basic W221 AMG package on all models below S63 and S65. The S63/5 AMG differ in only the front and the rear bumpers and related components (front round fog lights, rear dual sticked muffler system, plastic housing, etc). They differentiate this so they do not affect the sales of the higher end S63/S65 models.
Fortunately, I had good connections with the dealer in my country since I was using Mercedes all my life since childhood. I was able to get a 2007 W221with the S65/S63 package directly from the manufacturer in Germany which means having them painted with factory paint which is I think is a plus.
The AMG S65 parts consist of:
- Front AMG S65 bumper components (including round chrome fog lights).
- Side AMG skirts (which are common between all W221 models).
- Rear AMG S65 bumper components (including S65 exhaust system with dual muffler pipes).
- Body color matching factory paint for all the S65 AMG parts.
A total of $ 7600 for all the parts above including paint was added to the list of options on my car. This was done separately by my dealer through fax communications with Mercedes Germany because the online system which includes the W221 options does not have this option listed, only the basic AMG package.

unfortunately, i could not order it...the price also good...
i already got my car almost 3month ago...
when i visited mercedes service center, i was lucky to see S65 because
it was fixing something.
i saw the exhaust system, and check the rear bumber also
i asked about rear bumber and quad muffler to guy
he said it's different size between S65 and S550 exhaust pipe
,and bumber also different..( small 1pc attached to bumper like 2pc bumber)
i think it looks totaly same bumber, it's only differnt thing is bottom pc...)
but maybe inside conneted with muffler would be different...
if i put the quad muffler, i need some conneting parts s550 pipe(small bore)
to s65's muffler(big bore) i didn't exactly check yet..
in korea, some guy who changed s550 to s65 after he got a car..
not in factory...
i gonna send to him e-mail...then i will give you guys more infomation
