While driving with my dads S, after about a 1 hour drive, I pulled over since I was by the beach to get ocean air and stuff...and my car was off for only about 2 minutes. When I got back in and turned on the car, the settings in the climate control went crazy! Both temperatures were on HI, aimed in every direction, and coming out on its highest speed (7). Before I turned off the car it was on 3, both sides, and on 63, both sides, and it was aimed to the face. The air was on before this happened but it switched off when it went crazy. I didnt turn on REST and it was never on AUTO and I know for sure I didnt push it when I got out. After that I noticed that the ride was very stiff (in comfort mode) and it was very slow and the transmission was rough on gear changes. I pulled over, turned it off, turned it back on, and it was fine. Back to normal. Only happened once. Is this a potential problem and what do you think couldve caused this??

Maybe the car was turned on by a hot babe walking by. I know that might have caused the STIFF ride. If so, it's a normal car reaction.
Seriously, the car's computers may have just had a glitch and hopefully the reboot will end it for good.

lemme guess, your next post will be how the E63 that daddy bought had its wheels fall off when you were doing 200 on the motorway right?

On next time to MB service, make sure it has the latest operating system update. At the end it is all computer based. Besides normal glitches which can be solved over a reboot, if operational temperature is either lower or higher than range, then few glitches might pop up here or there. Keep an eye on it if it happens again. Otherwise, erase it from your memory and reboot your brain and you shall be fine as well. (you still have around 4 years of warranty)

took it in the mb of south bay and they found nothing wrong with the engine tranny or computer.....if they really did check anythin

Interesting, the a/c going out of wack has happened to me several times. I always wondered, but never did anything about it. The car is going for service soon. It has 10500 miles on it and it drives greatOriginally Posted by sme636500
