I agree.

I felt the desire to get myself into that video and ask him if he thinks people will applaud him for this? Try to get him to go to the root of his problem...the fact that he is taking his dads car - and to show off to his teen friends that he can be a bad @$$ ?

Thats not impressing anyone... its a tragic sign of pathetic teen bull crap.

When I was in my teens - If dad let me borrow his BMW - i treated it with SUPER respect. It wasn't mine - it was a real treat to drive - and i RESPECTED my father.

I was the same way but we only had pieces of crap for cars like a 1978 Monte Carlo (horrible car) and then later a 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme which was really a good car for many years. Fortunately , my boys are good kids and don't do crazy stuff like this. Times are strange now for sure. The youth today, in general, almost scare me. I know what the problem is, but we won't go there on this forum.

Bingo!

That just can't be good for a drivetrain or brakes on the rear because isn't he applying the brakes to keep the car locked down? That would mean the drivetrain (rear end) is fighting the brakes, right???? He's applying just enough brake pressure to keep the front wheels stiff enough to hold the car in place but at the same time not too much pressure so that the rear drive wheels can spin. Not good in my mind.

Ha ha - i know what the problem is also.

Personally I think kids grow up too fast today because of the internet - and I think that kids are MEANER these days - and I think personal image is more important these days - but the level kids have to go to in order to achieve this personal image is horrifying.
IE - kids have to beat the hell out of another, take video with their phone, and youtube it.... in order to appear "COOL" ?

Also - kids are having sex when they are 11! WTF is that? There is a school passing out BIRTH CONTROL PILLS to 11 year old GIRLS!!!!

I could go on and on - but the above is in my opinion - the downfall of childhood these days.

I Was born in 1981.... and my biggest thrill at that age was getting the new Transformer toys or setting up a tent and sleeping in it with friends - having sleepover parties, maybe making a crank call to some girls or a teacher.... or maybe having a midnight pizza party.

It was not going around egging cars, it was not beating the hell out of someone for personal thrill, it was not graffiting someone's brick wall. ETC

Thats not who I am - thats not who my friends are - and if I ever see someone of that young age doing that - I will PERSONALLY do a citizens arrest. I will literally Detain them (without hurting them) and I will have 4 captians from the local precincts (THey are my dads tax clients) come right away to finish the job.

Of course he is from Jersey...why am I not surprised.

And he drives a Lexus, he probably didn't even know what to do with a real car when he rented it.

Would have been funny like one of the above posters said - if a car came and slammed into him

Absolutely,
Great post. When you mentioned a tent, it reminded of me when we would take the kitchen chairs and spread sheets over them and make a tent in the house to sleep in.

LOL WOW!

my parents were so worried about me tenting in the back yard with my friends - they made us set it up in our living room and we got a tent from a camping store to give it that authentic feeling!!!!!!

How funny!!!!!

Not to sound like I am bragging - but when we built our house in Mill Basin - people would drive by to see it because it was at that time, the largest in the neighborhood - People would get out of their cars to look through the side gates so they could see, etc.

My parents were worried one day I would be kidnapped if i was tenting in the back yard. I was 8 lol.

That is totally stupid.

I was on Temescal Canyon (just north of PCH) the other day and wondered what the big burn out was. The marks are still there. The second video is from Topanga Canyon in one of the many turn outs.

If that kid rented all those cars it is likely from Budget of Beverly Hills or Beverly Hills Rental Car. Anyone want to forward them the links? Cant be hard to figure out who rented those cars.

Maybe if it was a mustang but who does big burnouts in an S550?

I agree with all the comments about kids these days.

Yes. That is insanity. Just in reverse. I wonder if he used the backup camera while doing that?

I didn't think the 550 could burn rubber like that.
I tried it with my 600 for the first time without the traction control yesterday and man these things really do smoke up the tires. Although I didn't hold the brakes like that kid did. You should all try it at least once.

i did the same thing (2007 S600) and it really does light them up. if its slightly damp, you can even get a fishhook going.

Those continentals that come on the car are expensive enough to stop me from spinning tires to frequently, i more like the 25-75MPH jet-fighter acceleration on the freeway for merging...
